Patient-Centered Research

Patient-Centered Research

Patients and families play a central role in driving our research forward, helping us move faster toward new insights and better therapies.

When people choose to share their samples, data, and lived experiences, they contribute knowledge that no laboratory technique can replace. These contributions shape the questions we ask, the models we build, and the discoveries we pursue. Several of our scientists work closely with patients, caregivers, and advocacy groups to ensure that research reflects real needs and real voices. Through this partnership, we build studies that are more meaningful, more inclusive, and ultimately more impactful for the communities we aim to serve.

Research Driven by Patient Experiences

Explore how patient experiences of endometriosis‑associated pain guide our scientists in developing better models, better questions, and ultimately better treatments.

Patient-Derived Disease Models

Find out how our human‑based disease models are built in close partnership with patients, using donated cells to recreate the biology of their condition in the lab.

ALS Day Visit

ALS Patient Visits

Visits from ALS patients and their families deepen collaborations and inspired new research directions across our ALS teams.
